Praying for New Orleans

Wow, I didn't realize until recently how devastating the recent hurricane in the US was. Tens of thousands of people are left in desperate conditions, hundreds have died and fear of disease is also a great concern at the moment. Some people said it feels like a third-world country right now in New Orleans.

Let's pray for these victims of the hurricane and do what we can to bring hope and support for them. You can donate to the Red Cross through your iTunes as well.

I also wanted to post some links to a couple of John Piper articles on Suffering and the Sovereignty of God: 1. Tsunami, Sovereignty, and Mercy and 2. Is God Less Glorious Because He Ordained That Evil Be?

Let's pray for their faith and fight for ours too as we live a world that is longing for the return of Christ to restore all things again ...

Me too. I had no idea how devasting the hurricane was. Reading the paper and viewing images of people looking hopeless and helpless was really overwhelming.
